you use our mobile application and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By
using SwapMyStyle you agree to the practices described here.

Account details — your phone number, name, username, date of birth, and (optionally) email if you sign in with Google.
Profile information — bio, profile photo, city/area, clothing sizes, and style preferences.
Content — outfits, photos, stories, comments, messages, and ratings you post or send.
Information collected automatically
Usage data — screens viewed, swipes, likes, and other in-app activity.
Device data — device type, operating system, and app version.
Approximate location — used only to show you nearby swaps at a city/area level.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
To power core features — matching, exchanges, chat, stories, and the discover feed.
To personalise recommendations based on your sizes, style, and location.
To keep SwapMyStyle safe: preventing fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
To send you notifications about matches, messages, and account activity.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
With other users — your public profile, outfits, and stories are visible to the community; contact details are never shown.
With service providers — trusted vendors for hosting, image storage, SMS/OTP, and push notifications, who process data on our behalf.
For legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Security
Your phone number is stored in hashed form and never in plain text. We use encryption in
transit and apply reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or
storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Stories are ephemeral and are
automatically deleted 24 hours after posting. When you delete your account, we remove or
anonymise your personal data, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Access, update, or correct your profile information at any time in the app.
Delete your account, which removes your personal data as described above.
Control push notifications and location permissions from your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
SwapMyStyle is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information
from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us so we
can remove it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the
app, and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
